Thirty-nine languages, and the pairing is yours to choose: read Thai and have it explained in Japanese, read Greek and have it explained in Chinese. The list stops where iOS stops shipping a speech voice, so every word can also be heard.

The words you meet stay with you
Save a word and it joins a wordbook for that language. Rosetta schedules it for review on widening intervals — twenty minutes, a day, three days, a week, and on — so the words you actually ran into are the ones you end up keeping.
